This CACHE Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 2 course is available to learners aged 16+ who are interested in working within a school as a teaching assistant, classroom assistant or learning support assistant in key stage 1 and above. This is a competence based qualification which requires students to be employed or have a placement within a school setting.

The aims of the course are to enable students to understand the roles and responsibilites to those involved in supporting teaching and learning in schools and provides an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to do this effectively in a self directed way. It prepares students to support the teacher and the delivery of curriculum within a school as well as developing skills to help children and young people to develop self-esteem, independence and skills for learning. It seeks to further develop professional and technical skills and knowledge and an understanding of the importance of positive relationships within a school.

Specialist Support Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 3

This Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching & Learning in Schools course is suitable for students aged 16+ who are currently working or volunteering in a school in the role of Teaching Assistant, Classroom Assistant or Learning Support Assistant. It is particularly aimed at students who directly support teaching and learning in Key stage 1 or above in an area that requires specialist knowledge or skills. School site staff and administrators would also benefit hugely from this course.

Fully recognised and accepted by OFSTED this home learning course covers all the units of the Level 3 Cert in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools and more. In addition this course will cover working with disabled, special educational needs and children with learning and behavioural issues.
